When Patching Leaks Stops Making Sense
One leak is a repair. A second leak a few months later, then a third, is a sign that the pipes themselves are wearing out.
Water lines don't last forever. Over time they corrode, build up scale, and develop small pinhole leaks that can hide inside walls and under floors. Every patch fixes one spot while the rest of the pipe keeps aging.
Repiping replaces the old supply lines in your home or building with new copper or PEX piping. It ends the cycle of leak repairs, and brings back dependable water pressure.
Signs It May Be Time to Repipe
- Pinhole leaks, or leaks that keep showing up in different places.
- Low water pressure throughout the house, not just at one fixture.
- Rusty, discolored, or cloudy water.
- Sediment or grit in your water.
- Visible corrosion or green buildup on exposed pipes.
- Older pipe materials, like polybutylene, that are known to fail.

Repiping Homes in Our Area
Many homes here were built from the 1970s through the 1990s, a period when polybutylene, a gray plastic supply pipe, was widely installed. Polybutylene is known for failing without warning, and many homeowners replace it before it does.
Our mineral-heavy water adds wear too. Scale builds up inside older lines and slows the flow, and water chemistry and high pressure can both contribute to pinhole leaks in copper.
Many homes in the desert are built on concrete slabs, with water lines running under the floor. When those lines start leaking, repiping often reroutes new lines through the walls and attic instead of under the slab, so future repairs are easier to reach.

What Our Customers Say
Here is what our customers have shared on Google.
4.9 average from 299 Google reviewsRepiping Questions
How much does it cost to repipe a house?
Every plumbing job is different, so the price depends on the problem, the parts, and the work involved. We diagnose the problem, explain it clearly, and confirm an upfront repair price before we start.
Should I choose copper or PEX?
Both are good choices. PEX is flexible, needs fewer fittings, resists corrosion and scale, and is usually less expensive to install. Copper has a long track record and holds up well to heat and sunlight. We explain the trade-offs for your home and help you decide.
How do I know if I have polybutylene pipe?
Polybutylene is usually gray plastic pipe, though it can also be blue or black, and it is often stamped "PB2110." You can sometimes spot it near the water heater, under sinks, or where the water line enters the house. If you are not sure, we can take a look.
Will repiping improve my water pressure?
If your low pressure comes from corroded or scaled-up pipes, yes. New lines let water flow freely again. If the cause is something else, like a failing pressure reducing valve, we will find it and tell you before recommending a repipe.
Should I repair the leak or repipe the whole house?
If you have one leak in otherwise healthy pipe, a repair makes sense. If leaks keep coming back, your pressure has dropped, or your pipes are an older material like polybutylene, repiping can cost less in the long run than repeated repairs and water damage.
Will you have to open up my walls?
Usually, yes, in a few places. Reaching the pipes takes some small openings in walls or ceilings. We show you where they will be before the work starts.
Can I stay in my home during a repipe?
In most cases, yes. The water will be off for parts of the job, and we will let you know when to expect that.
How long does a whole house repipe take?
It depends on the size of the home and how the pipes are run. Once we see the job, we will give you a clear idea of the timeline.
Do you repipe commercial buildings?
Yes. We handle water line re-piping for commercial properties as well as homes.
Can high water pressure cause pinhole leaks?
It can contribute. Pressure that is too high puts extra stress on pipes, fittings, and appliances. A pressure reducing valve keeps it in a safe range and helps protect your plumbing.
